Position Overview:
As a Construction Manager for the Outside Plant Team (OSP Team), you will ensure that Google Fiber has a coordinated deployment operation based out of the Louisville Google Fiber office.

Top 3 Daily Responsibilities:
Support the OSP Construction Management Function in managing the city deployment of Google Fiber’s FTTH Outside Plant (OSP) construction.
Interface with the Google Fiber OSP network team coordinating project construction activities, administrative requirements, financial reporting, invoice approval, material handling, etc.
Perform and monitor quality assurance, schedule commitments, troubleshooting and final turnover to operations.

Additional Responsibilities:
Work cross-functionally to design and build scalable construction, installation, and support processes.
Innovate our means and methods with potential to change industry standards.
Manage construction within budget and schedule constraints.
Facilitate broad collaboration with clear communication and documentation.
Participate in cross-functional meetings, identifying action items and driving to successful completion.
Build positive relationships and trust over time through strong on-time delivery of projects, high quality continuous innovation, and by exceeding expectations.
Analyze data using logic and reason to make sound decisions/recommendations.
Posses strong organizational, project management, analysis, and communication skills.
Have ability to work well as a member of a highly integrated team composed of both technical and non-technical members.
Ability to understand technical subjects and emerging technologies and relevance to the marketplace.
Review and understand the contract drawings and specifications, RFI’s, change orders, testing procedures, etc.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Required Qualifications:
5-10 years of telecom industry experience
5+ years of knowledge and experience in coordinating make ready work for aerial construction
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, typicals, and permits
Proficient in using documents, spreadsheets, and other related software
Knowledge or familiarity with Web Applications and/or GIS mapping software
Must have valid drivers license
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that may include weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Occasionally lift and carry loads of 25 lbs or more.

Nice to Have Skills:
Knowledge of fiber splicing
Knowledge of NESC guidelines and specifications, construction safety standards and OSHA requirements
